Lately, I have been spending alot of time thinking about how relentless God is. I can't help but to think about how God so passionately pursued His people throughout history. From the garden when Adam and Eve were hiding from Him. To the Isrealites He delivered out of slavery. He called out to and looked for Adam and Eve. Everytime the isrealites rebelled and turned their hearts away from God, He relentlessly pursued them! And what about His Son? He was so passionate about a relationship with you and me that He sent His son to live and bring the Kingdom here on earth. To provide the sacrifice for sins once and for all. If that doesn't show how relentless He is then what would? Not only can I see how relentless He was, I can see how relentless He is. The way He speaks  through the Holy Spirit when we begin to live our lives more for us and apart from Him. The way He sends someone into our lives at the right time and speaks through them. From when we're defiant or rebellious to when we're discouraged or when feel far from Him, He relentlessy purues us. He never just sits and waits. He is always active and with us. There's no doubt He is relentless. The question is....are we? Are we pusruing Him the way He pursues us? Why is it that more time than not, that is not even on our radar? Is it because we haven't fully grasped the truth of WHY He purues us? If we really understood that the answer to why, then I think we would be consumed by relentlessly pursuing Him. The reason He is so relentless is because of His passionate love for us!!  What does it look like to relentlessy pursue Him? Is it our devotional life, time in His word or prayer life? Is it our attendance at church, tithing or how we worship? Maybe it is some or all of these things. I think before any of that, it comes down to our desire to hear and respond to Him. It comes down to our desire to release our control and allow the God of the universe, who passionately loves us to reign ( be in control) of our lives. When that is our desire, ALL areas of our lives will be in alignment with His will for our lives. Do you know what happens when two people relentlessly pusue one another? THEY MEET!!!
